My African sideneck turtle recently started growing what I assume is fungus on his body. It began with his nose, but has now moved to his head and feet. He is 4ish years old and hasn't had anything happen like this before. I've been giving him salt water baths for about a week and a half now and got some "turtle fix" water solution that I've been adding to his tank daily.

The problem does not seem to worsen as quickly due to the salt water baths, but it's not getting much better/going away. Any help would be appreciated! PXL_20220831_020016803.jpgPXL_20220831_020027719.jpgPXL_20220831_020032032.jpgPXL_20220831_020040928.jpgPXL_20220831_020050611.jpg

I suggest you take him to a turtle vet if possible. Isolate him immediately from any others.

I have not seen a fungus progress into what your turtle is exhibiting on face and neck. I would be concerned there is more there than just a fungus. I would suggest taking to a reptile vet.

For Skin fungus, I soak for about 20 min in a mixture of water and enough betadine (providone Iodine) to make the water tea-colored. Then dry-dock for 24 hours. Water quality is almost always the issue with a skin fungus. Ensure the water parameters are correct.

However, the lesion-look with redness/blood vessels and what looks like skin peeling off is more concerning than a simple fungus. It needs to be checked by a good vet.
