Okay I'm trying to build an outdoor enclosure for my sulcata when he gets big enough. But he digs a lot now and I'm afraid of him digging his way out and getting lost :( plus what will I do when it rains? I don't want him to drown. And how will he be safe from spiders and snakes? I don't want to put him outside and have him get hurt or worse. Pease help. I don't know what to do. Some advice please.

Look at some of Tom's posts regarding what he does in CA. Depending upon your climate those ideas may work for you also. How large is your tort?

It has been my experience with tortoises that if they can see daylight under the fence, they will dig in that spot to dig out. Otherwise, they only dig to bury themselves, not to escape. So whatever kind of fence you build, make sure it either goes into the ground a bit, or there are no spaces where light shows under the fence, and it sits right down on the ground.
