Hi everyone

Im worried about my baby leopard tortoises shell.. I dont really know how to explain except for the whiteish colour line on either sides of his shell that seems to be developing..

Here is a photo

He is getting UVB light all day and also his tank is by 2 windows that I keep open so he should be getting sunlight too... I am not supplementing him with calcium or vitamins..

Is it an issue and if so how can I rectify it at hopefully an early stage??

Thanks

Hey don't be panic.. Thats's a beautiful sign, you will have a high white leopard. You can check in the gallery.
Just keep in good humidity and lighting.

No worries as stated. However, if you get some humidity in his enclosure, 80%, he will continue to grow smooth. Check out the threads at the bottom of my post. The husbandry in the threads, if followed, will grow a smooth leopard. Even the sulcata threads below in my post are good for a leopard.

That is awesome. I love high white leopards! Enjoy your little guy and take advantage of your high humidity. :)
