Hello,
I am fairly new on this forum Wanted to introduce my tortoises a bit
This is Tuptus...I have him for couple of years now, he is one of my rescue ones, used to have some issues with his liver but it's been all fine recently. Last year been diagnosed with a calcified disc in his cervical spine, which was pushing on his spinal cord and therefore affecting movement...he has been paralyzed for around month. It might have been due to previous trauma, difficult to tell...but CT scan has showed the problem luckly and after almost 2 months of treatment and physio he is almost back to normal, cheeky himself I still have to do physio and make sure he's exercising one of his legs properly as has partial paresis, however he eats on his own, moves his head fine and moves around on his own as well
In other words, reptiles are amazing and given some time can make impressive recovery
Have a great day everyone
