The weather has been absolutely miserable for a whole week here in NJ. Not good for the tortoises. So, I had to bring the tortoise groups in until the rain and low temps quit. Finally, normal warm weather is back. Here they are the T. h. hermanni getting ready to go back out.....they look very anxious. :shy:

Chris, I know what you mean it is suppose to drop in temps here again next week and so My torts are in and out, in and out. But I do think that little one in the first pic is thinking the others will just bunch up under him and push him up and out. Better watch that one. :) I think he might be looking at the long walk to my house ;)
Thanks for sharing the pics with us They are beautiful.

Thanks everyone....yes they wanted out bad...they are now enjoying the good weather in their outdoor units.

There are 30 in total, couldn't get them all in the shot.

These critters sure are cool, one or many, does not matter! I assume some of these are for sale?

Thank you :) No, no none of these are for sale or ever will be ;), they are part of a very important and thriving breeding colony that reside here. Hatchlings will be available this year, I can put you on my waiting list.

Thanks again everyone.

Yes they are Western Hermann's. I've hatched out a decent amount of the last few years but this year looks very promising.
