How big?

I just wondered if anyone here has a picture of how big a russian can grow? I know they are small tortoises, but I'm wondering what their maximum size is.

My guess from reading this forum frequently is about 8" SCL.

Depending upon geographical populations in the wild, some females can reach a maximum size of 10", some males 8". I think 8" females and 6" males are more common than larger ones.

The largest female is over 8". My group is now split up, with another female about the size of the largest in the photo, and a fourth about the size of the other female in the pic. The male has his own condo (so that the females get a break) and gets conjugal visits. I tried to get a pic with a ruler, but it turned out to be more difficult than intended.

A fellow CTTTC member has a female russian and she is about 11 inches, she is a big girl.
