How to make this shell look rounder?

I have kept this tortoise for a month or two

The biggest problem is that its shell is not round enough; It is more like flat surfaces stick together

How do I improve its shell shape?

Is it a gene thing? Or can it be improved over time by care?

If so, how long does it take to get rounder ?

That part of the shell is finished growing. It is set to look like it does. Good diet, sunshine, calcium, hydration, etc. all these things help to form how the new growth comes in.

So it is bound to be not perfectly round even after some years?

That tortoise is gorgeous. I would not try to change anything.

There is some genetic variation in shell shape and color even among clutch mates.

There is nothing wrong with the shell of the tortoise in your pic.

Do you see that some sides of the shell look concave, instead of convex? Do you mean there is nothing I can do?

Yes. I see what you are referring to.

All of the things Yvonne listed are what I would recommend, but I don't thing you need to "do" anything.
