Humid hide

Hi guys! So I am adding a humid hide to my stars enclosure. I have read different things about putting moss underneath it to keep it humid but have then read others say that baby tortoises may eat the moss and cause issues

Ideas??

Yes, moss should not be used. It can cause entanglement both inside and around limbs.

You can use just your regular substrate for the humid hide. Just cut a hole into a plastic container and keep the substrate under/in it moist.

Yeah definitely no moss, as long as your humidity is where it needs to be in the closed chamber, it will be in the hide too with regular substrate
