I have a sulcata that lives outside and right now he is in a doghouse. Is it a good idea just to pipe my household humidifier into his house so it keeps humidity in there or will that make it to moist

If your sully is large enough to live outside, I can't imagine you'd want a humidifier in his outdoor house.

Where are you?
How old/ what size is your tort?

My leopards that live outside full time here in SoCal have a moderately humid heated tort house. I don't use a humidifier though. I simply use a coco coir/ soil mix substrate and occasionally mist it down a bit. It'll keep in the 50-60% range for a week or so before needing some more squirts.
I also let the grasses and weeds grow really thick and tall in certain areas of the enclosure. Keeping these areas watered allows them to have naturally humid hide areas.

Ok. He is 4 and I just got him. I have always wanted one but he is my first. He has a bit of a pyramid shell so I thought he might need extra humidity to help correct the problem. I live in Fresno Ca so it's hot and dry

Dog houses are not suitable without major modifications. The large door holes and lack of insulation make the heating elements run more and longer and this contributes to drying out the air and more pyramiding. You need something like these:

Or better yet, this set is the best yet for sulcatas:

Once you have the temperatures under control and the heat sources are not working overtime to dry things out, a simple 5 gallon buck of water or some other containers will get the job done.

I would not run a humidifier outside, especially not in a drafty uninsulated dog house.

Do I not need to put soil in the box? And is it possible for you to tell what electric items those are in the box and where I get them? I was also thinking about building him one out of cinder block for insulation purposes with a wood roof. Is that a good idea?

I am going to build him a new house this weekend but in the meantime I took the straw that was in there and replaced it with ground bark( lowes didn't have any of the other recommended substrates) and now he won't stay in his house. He is normally in bed already and he just keeps going in and out. Is this normal?
