Humidity placement?

i just had the question of where do you put your humidity gauges i know like myself a lot of people here seem to use several gauges but where do you place them do you hang them to you have them at soil level what is the best placement to get the most accurate readings i am using digital accurites if that helps at all

I put my meters where the tortoise is . On the substrate . I have three meters in my setups .

I have three spread out in my enclosure. One is on the warm side, one in the middle, and one on the cool side. I keep them all at soil level. I usually sink them into the soil a little bit to keep my tort from knocking them over.

that's what i've been doing to but I've seen post's where people talk about hanging them some people even talk about slightly burying them

I guess you could. But I have had meters go bad because of the tort burying them . So I got a probe by the basking lamps one by the hide and one on the cool side .

good point i didn't even thinking about the going bad part. could a bad battery be the cause of weird readings? thats mostly why i'm asking is because out of no where today a couple of my gauges are being weird i have 4 1 by the hide one by the tort one in the middle and one off to the side of the heat lamp

My meter have a low battery light . Shows a picture of a battery . So I guess it will be different for the meter you have .
