Identification help!!!

Ok so i found two HATCHLING res walking down the street together and i picked them up and put the in my 20 gallon tank. Are they pastels or just original res?

Oh my! Preciousss! They are beautiful. I own 4 res myself, but I can't really tell if these are pastels or not. They are pale, that's for sure. Hopefully they aren't sick/sun-deprived! Are you planning on keeping them? Keep us updated :)

I don't know either but am curious to see what the water turtle experts say ;)

I'd think a neighbor of yours has a pond with mom and dad. Then these little babies hatched and sought off in a search when you found them :)

Yes i will be keeping them. I also have 4 more turtles and a sulcata

Oh awesome! I'm sure they are in good hands. I'd love to have a sulcata btw, so big and beautiful. Is yours big?

RES can differ quite a bit in their markings. These are not pastels.

How is the turtle in the foreground of that first photo doing? Looks like the eyes are a bit sunken. Could be an early sign of poor health/dehydration. It's not good to see a little turtle, out of its enclosure, with a camera in its face, while it has its neck as extended as that with eyes closed. It just worries me a bit.

He is perfectly fine. He is swimming fine and hes able to climb up to basking areas
