Identification

Hi all, I’m hoping some expert eyes might be able to identify my parents tortoise…

He is approximately 20-25 years old and about 6 inches in length. We have always assumed he is a hermann but not entirely sure what sub species he could be. I would personally guess a boettgeri but the yellow mark on his face makes me doubt myself.

(The scars you may see on his shell are from a fox attack a few years back.)

There are variations, but this one appears to be T.h.boettgeri. Chris Leon just did a new video (He has older videos too) on identifying the Western, Eastern, and Dalmatian.
