Aaaargh! Thank you! Popped up IN my enclosure. Good thing I caught it before he devoured it!!!

Thank you. Yes it was in an upper level of my enclosure (rectangular plant potter) which is normally out of reach but now he can climb and he nibbled some. I'll keep a close eye on him.

The lists of toxic plants are geared towards mammals. Most often, the alkaloids in those toxic plants don't do any harm to a tortoise.

Ok thanks. He seems to be just fine and it must not have burned his mouth like it suggests in the ASPCA website because he kept eating it. I've removed it. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1417645936.491328.jpg
