Is this the shower liner everyone is talking about? I have a Russian tortoise, 6 years old. He likes to dig in corners. Should I do this lining with linoleum? Or is this plenty coverage?

I am making an enclosure out of a heavy wood entertainment console.

Most people are talking about an actual shower curtain. What you are showing is way heavier and would work better for something like a Russian who likes to dig.

People are using shower curtains?! That seems like a bad choice.

Thank you! I will continue w this liner
Yes I agree. Shower curtains are cheap and waterproof but not really heavy enough to prevent digging from damaging them.

Also if it is for an adult or a juvenile makes a difference on if you need a closed chamber or if open top will work. To build a closed chamber correctly sometimes the cost grows to the point that buying something already made becomes cheaper. Just an FYI and good luck going forward.

He’s 6! He does well in an open enclosure, I use cococoir 75% and then 25% orchid bark.
He gets baths 2x weekly and a soil refresh as needed usually I rake it every Friday.

He has a terracotta food dish and a terracotta water dish. He also has a sunkin smaller water bowl that he only sticks his head in. Idk why but he likes it

I freeze all the dirt and orchid bark for 72 minimum hours to minimize bugs( this probably does nothing but makes my brain think it helps)

This will be his foreseeable future residence. He all free roams when it’s warm enough inside but Chicago has been so cold the tile is freezing for him

Free roaming indoors is discouraged as it comes with a lot of risks:

Of course!! He’s very monitored.

Everything is a danger. But he’s gotta live a little. Get some good exercise and itch his exploration itch
