Hi,

I received Ivy my sulcata hatchling about two weeks ago. My current setup is a mortar mixing tub with reptibark and a standard hide.As far as lighting goes I have a 60 watt incandescent bulb and a Slimline zilla 50uvb tube light that I removed the clear plastic cover from I am concerned about the height of the fixture any suggestions on raising the fixture?.I moved her soaking dish under the basking light, I'm afraid she isn't getting enough humidity.I soak Ivy daily for around 30 minutes.I feed mixed kale, alfalfa sprouts, mazuri hydrated, romaine, and recently collard greens. Lately she's only been receptive to the romaine and a little Mazuri. Feedback would be appreciated I'm glad to have found this community ?.

Your might want to get a new Tub one that has a Lid to increase the Humidity & Temperature
You can feed grocery store bought Food but mix it out. try Spring mix, Mustard Greens, Turnips, ect.
Temperature should range between 80-97
humidity should range from 80-100 don’t keep it humid and cold it would lead to RI
you need a Night heat source, your only option would be a CHE.

Tom very helpful article. I got her from Arizona Tortoise compound(ATC). I know they use these mixing trays but I think the room they have is more equiped to sustain humidity. That being said like iamcentrochelys said I may build a cover of some sort or an outdoor enclosure for my porch. I live in Louisiana and I feel like she would be better for it.It's just going to take some time to design. I've realized as of late she is definitely eating what I put in her enclosure....I just put way too much in their for one tort. Where do y'all get grasses I don't have a yard but I would like to make this sort of diet more available.
