I am thinking of adopting another sulcata tortoise. I have a 13 year old 60lbs. female and this new one would be a 90lbs. male.

Any one have experience with introducing new tortoises with your existing one? Any tips?

Welcome to the Forum, "Mom!"

In my opinion, this is a bad idea.

If you want to get the male tortoise and set him up in his own habitat, that's another story, go ahead and do it, however subjecting Leonarda to living in the same pen with a male 24/7, in my opinion, is harassment. He would pester her to death. Your loving, fun, outgoing female tortoise will end up hiding all the time.

The only thing on a male sulcata's mind when there is a female around is procreation.
