Irregular Shell Growth?

Hi, I am just wondering if I should be concerned about my tortoises shell as the scutes have formed in irregular shapes.
In the second image it appears the scute where my thumb is overlapping the scute above it. Have I done something wrong/ should I be concerned.

This is nothing that anyone has done wrong in caring for this tortoise. It was born that way. We call it aberrant scutes. Some of us like these different patterns more than the regular looking tortoises. Your tortoise is SPECIAL!
