Is my leopard tortoise pyramiding?

Hi guys, I am a first time tortoise keeper and I am worried that my leopard tortoise is pyramiding, are my suspensions correct?

Just a little bit. Not bad at all. In this case it's purely cosmetic. He's a beauty!
Thanks a lot for the fast reply! Is there something I should do to make it happen less? Or is it just something that happens regardless of what I do?

Also, how do you know it's a male? :eek:

I agree with Yvonne. Just barely. That is about the best that can be hoped for with a leopard. Rare to see them any better than that. You've done fine work.

I always use the male pronoun when I don't know the sex.

Keep him in a warm and humid environment with a T-5 fluorescent tube light instead of a dessicating Mercury Vapor Bulb and he should grow a beautiful shell.

Ah alright, I am not sure what the sex is either, I was looking at the tubes, do you mean like the "Reptile Systems T5 UVB Lamp" ? Or something else? :eek:
