Is my tortoise sick?

My tortoise isn't eating like he use to. His eyes when closed look dried out, when I soak him they slowly open. He won't eat anything but lettuce. This isn't how he normally is so not sure if he's trying to hybernate or if he's sick.....any suggestions??

Let's hope your tort isn't sick. But to double-check, please post pics of him as well as his enclosure. And don't forget that torts take quite some time to adapt.

what general area are you located in please? Temperature changes can affect the eating habits. what arethe temps like in its enclosure?

What tortoise type and how is he being housed?
Pictures of the enclosure, substrate and lighting would also be very helpful.

If your tortoise has only been eating lettuce, then yes, he's probably sick.

Please show us a picture of the tortoise and the habitat you have set up for him so we are better able to understand.
