Is this Mallow?

I found this growing in my yard. I live in North Carolina. From what I could find online, it looks to me like it could be Mallow. What do you think?

Obviously I can’t say with 100% certainty because I don’t trust myself with plant indemnification, but it does appear that it is mallow👍

I got Carolina mallow as well.

The Carolina mallow in images definitely looks different from our "common" mallow and not quite like its larger hibiscus relatives either so I'm not comfortable to say with certainty.

I'd wait for it to flower if you want to be very sure. The flower is a peachy/salmon color and easily spotted as a mallow. Shouldn't take long for it to flower or you may find some that already have.

I got garlic mustard from Google. 🤔
I thought a brassica when I first saw it as well. But it definitely looks like the identified mallow. If it's garlic mustard then we'll see a white flower eventually! We don't have that plant here so I've not seen it either.
