This is growth something I should be worried about? This is my dad's 14 year old sulcata. It's like there is a mini scute growing between the bigger scutes. Is this a sign of something and what should I do?

There is nothing you can do about it. This sort of scute anomaly happens occasionally, and it is just cosmetic.

Hard to tell from that close-up picture, but it looks like maybe the new growth seam between two scutes has fused. You can try lubricating with cold pressed coconut oil, rubbing it in good, and massaging the seam. It may work, but it may not. Like Tom said, it's not harmful. Let us know in a month or two if you've had success.
