I have a beautiful 6 month old Hermann's tortoise and recently I've noticed that if he doesn't defecate in the daily soak that I provide for him that he will dig himself out a little nest and do his business in there. Same spot all the time. A nice little burrow he uses as a toilet. I just love being able to go in there and neatly pick it out afterwards. Is this common for them to do or did I just luck out with a neat and tidy tortoise?! Ha! :)

It's definitely not abnormal, but my sulcata goes to the bathroom in his heated house 90% of the time

Yes, I didn't think it was abnormal, I just get a kick out of the fact that he routinely will dig himself out a nice little hole in the substrate to relieve himself in. :) Kind of cute, even if we're talking about poop! :)

As long as he/she is using the restroom I wouldn't worry about it:) That sounds awesome! Marion goes everywhere xD
