It's been a while, here's an update!

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've been on here, lol. I thought that I would give you all an update on Bowser Well she just turned 4 years old! Ugh, they grow up so fast... And I am thinking that Bowser looks like a female. I will have to post up pics for you all to help me out with that, lol.

This is a picture of Bowser when I first got her when she was a week old -

It is so neat to look through all the older photos and look at all of the changes. I can't believe how big her legs have gotten. They look like they have gotten huge, lol.

And oh my goodness, what an appetite she has (especially right now in the summer). She is eating 5 large handfulls of collard greens plus the timothy hay that I keep in her area, not to mention all the other treats she gets now and then. I'm going to have to grow her food soon, lol.

I really want to post a pic of the butt area so you all can tell me if she is a female or male. 4 years is a good time that you can tell right??? But I am trying to find a way to clean that area first (other than her normal soak). I tried to use a toothbrush and it did alright, but was wondering if there was a better way... She has been going potty in her hide and then sitting in it and it gets stuck to her..... (ewww)

Any suggestions on how to clean it? I really don't want to post a poopy butt pic, lol

Don't know if he is a she, but it sure is fast. It amazes me when something that big and has lots of years of growing still can move that fast...

Ok, here is a picture of her butt. As you can see the plastron is shaped like (I think) a females should be shaped. Also she has a very short stubby fat tail. And I do mean it's really really short compaired to others that I have seen......

So what do you all think???

here's a pic of RV (with her dirty butt) her anal scutes are wide and more U shaped than your little one - more a V shape..
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong ~ but I do say ya got a boy.

I am going with female and that mainly because of the small tail.

Don't worry about the dirt, even with cleaning sometimes they still look dirty.

Uh oh, 50/50 now, lol. The tail is what stumping me the most... It is a small one, unless it grows more when they get a little older??? We need more help on this one, lol.
