Just thought I'd share that my 8 month old sulcata hit the one pound mark! Happy, active, and healthy as can be!

Congrats! My little guy was only 1/2 pound (234gm and 4.25" long) at 6 months when I got him. At 12 months, he is 6.5" long and tips the scale at 1.5 pounds (700gm)... Love them in THEIR language (ie, hot, humid and hungry) and they seem to grow quickly!

Congrats to you too! Sounds like you've done great with your little guy! Mine is just over 5". I got him at just a month old, and he was only 2 inches and weighed next to nothing! I have loved watching him grow so far, and can't wait until he's a 100-pounder!

Yay! I'm sure he will be! Mine had one month where he barely gained an ounce, then another month where he gained 4 ounces! I have found that the warmer he is, the more he eats, and the more he grows...

I think you're right! When my guy had his month of minimum growth, I had been running his humidifier, and found that it had cooled his enclosure. When I altered his set-up a bit, it got back to the proper (WARM) temps, and his growth took off. Good luck!
