Morning.... really not what i intended my first post to be but it is what it is.

i got my first tortoise over the weekend and this morning after 2 days the bulb has decided to blow. I am unable to get out of the house to go and buy a new one but was going to prime one for next day.

Will my little man be ok until tomorrow without his lamp? I’m so worried!

Hello, and welcome to TFO!

I am assuming that it's his basking lamp that blew? If so, you just need to make sure he's warm enough, especially at night.

Do you have a bulb in a household light that you could borrow for the daylight hours? One that gives light and heat, not LED.

For nighttime, do you have a CHE? How were you planning on heating at night?

Or could you put him in a bathroom and run a small space heater to warm the whole room?

Are you in Nova Scotia? I'm trying to figure your days and nights...

That explains it then. MVB's are notorious for being persnickety and moody and too expensive to boot. Be glad it's gone.

Get a flood bulb at the hardware store, and you'll be set.

So do you have anything in mind for nighttime heat??
