Last 2 hatched yesterday. I had to help one of them out of the egg. He started chipping away, but it seemed like he got stuck in the inside membrane. After a day or two I got nervous and poked a little slit in it just to make sure he had air. Was that the right thing to do?

They really are beautiful! And to think my friend was going throw the eggs away!!!!

Congrat's I love lighter one can you post some more pic's?

I'm going to try to line them up in the order they hatched and take a pic - but they take off the minute I set them down! Lots of energy!

when helping, dont you have to be careful not to nick a vein or they can bleed?

I was super scared doing it. I felt around for an air pocket and then used a flat toothpick to tear it open. I was really worried about poking an eye or something.
