Hallo all, I have good news, I am getting a Sulcata this Sunday, and I am about to test the stats of the temp and humidity, when I realised: Should you line the wooden floor beneath the bark with plastic? I'm scared the tortoise might try to eat it?

Greetings. I lined our baby Sullys wooden enclosure with a thick plastic layering that actually went up about 10 inches on all sides of the enclosure. I then had a very nice thick layer of coco coir and cypress mulch for the substrate. Never had an issue with any rips or tears - no places for the tortoise to eat.

Make sure you provide a nice large enclosure, proper lighting, heat and humidity. A good, safe humid hide. Feed well. Daily soak your tortoise.
