Fertility was non existent this year, but I did manage to produce one little russian tort, a few box turtles, and cooter.

She(incubated for female, but we shall see)finally started eating yesterday.

One of my favorite species, but I may part ways with these guys as I have six already.

Nice!

Why do you think the fertility was so low for your Russians? Do you brumate them over winter?

They brumate, but it wasn't just the Russians all the turtles and torts.

We had an odd spring, with record rains. Even got a late start on our garden, but I did move animals around and rebuilt enclosures so stress of moving could've been a factor.

We had a late spring too. My grapevines and Mulberry trees usually start budding in early February here, and I saw nothing on them until Late April this year.

Come to think of it now, my Burmese stars haven't been doing their usual amount of egg laying this summer either...
