That double disc gauge is useless. If that's the only thing your using for temp and humidity replace it for a digital.
Also I can't tell if the uvb is going thru plastic? Uvb won't go thru plastic and if it's a mercury vapor bulb change it out for a tube florescent. The MVB is too intense and will cause pyramiding even with high humidity.

Don't melt the sides of your plastic tub. That is very easy to do!

Don’t worry all. The light is standard flood light. UVB isn't used! he gets 1-2 hrs of actual sun instead a week. The bulb you see doesn’t produce any heat its on average 79-85 in the tub. I have both a standard temp/humidity gague in there AND the double guage. It was more to make sure if I am not available his humidity stays at 75 minimum
