Spekii are the only hingebacks I have now, and I have not looked to see if the female prefers mushrooms, or if the male avoids them. I will have to wait until the weekend to see what happens when I can spend some time to watch. Nearly all the food is gone when I return home from the workday most days, then they seem to take an occasional day off from eating.

No what I mean is that I notice that only the females of spekii and lobatsiana are interesting in stuff like snails or earthworms. For the males it's not interesting. Mushrooms are interesting for both sexes.

One picture of the female. Growths good and smooth. Next spring I'll try to breed them and put her to the male.

Thank you. The younger male is very funny. When I come to the roofbottom he starts begging like a turtle :D

    Really beautiful animals.

Can i get an overview of how you keep them?
What temperatures and how do you maintain the temperatures?
Food etc. Just out of curiosity and interest.

    Best regards
