Yeah, I don't remember the exact dates, but Darwin brought back a Galop and presented it to some royalty person or another, and it was documented at over 200 years when it died.
I think sometimes these numbers are so extreme, we would consider it a failure if our tortoise "only" lived 80 years. But is it?
Look at the statistical evidence for people living to 100. Then look at how many make it to 110. Its 1 in 1000! Its a tremendously small percentage of the overall population.
