Long script issues

Every time I go to a new page of Threads, I get a scripting error that freezes the page and I get a warning about a script taking to long. when I stop the scripting, all add banners go to generic add screen.

Any ideas? It is happening on my home and my work computers and only on this site.

Can you be more specific about what exactly is or is not happening? Can you upload screenshots?

when I hit "View New Post" and I gt to the screen with all the new threads/post.... THAT screen will freeze up and I get a pop-up message from Windows that says "tortoiseforum.org is not responding due to a long-running script" and gives me the option to stop script. I dont know how to do a screen shot, but the generic banner that comes on when I stop the script looks like a randomizer for differant banners with "search realated to tortoiseforum.org" one the left side and asst. types of tortoises on the right side (just tortoise names, no pics).

I only have this problem on the New Post screens. when I get into the threads, the problem rarely happens but the banners inside the threads seldom work (just the Generic banner I discribed earlier)

I've been watching that Generic Banner and the right Side is displaying the last 6 searches/banner choises. I have also noticed the a banner will start, then go blank.... then, when I stop script, the Generic banner comes up and the last banner it tried to display will be in the search window.

Ok, there are no right side banners on TFO...
What browser are you using? Have you scanned for malware/spyware recently?

Thank you for that, Cameron. I've tried to take a screen shot before for Josh, and couldn't get it to work. But using your instructions it worked fine.

This is what it looks like.... except the 6 names on the right side are constantly changing.

Interesting. You think it's the banner that is causing the issue? Can you tell who made the banner? I can't seem to make sense out of the logo in the top right corner...

I dont think its the banners, but how my system is reacting to the banners. I dont have the issue on my laptop but I dont get to use it much anymore. My 2 desktop systems have recently been built and rebuilt (1 new one and one built from 2 old ones) so I can only assume its somthing in my programming with the new systems... I just cant find it, and it ONLY happens on this site. (then again, this is the only Forum type site I belong too)

I don't know what happened, but the issue cleared up... today... on both of my systems! Im not sure what it was but both my systems also had an Windows Update, so maybe it was something in my software.

Just thought I'd let you know...
