Hello, does anyone marginated flip over? I have had him 2 days and all he seems to do is go to the corner of table or sides and try to climb leading to flipping over. Is this just a matter of the little tortoise being curious? Is a 2016 hatchling

Hello and welcome.

To help you we really need to see photos of your enclosure and lighting.

Flipping is very common when they can see their reflection in glass (they think it’s another tortoise to chase away) or they can see out of an enclosure and they’re trying to get out. It is also common when the enclosure is too small. Even babies need lots of floor area to roam. Another common problem is flip-hazards like unsuitable reptile bowls or other decor.

Photos will give us a better idea what’s the likely cause.

will get photo later after work. I have built a big table under the stairs for it roughly 4ft x 2ft. he is very active all day walking around and is all made of wood so can not see through.
