Good evening all. My name is Marc and I am new to this forum. I wondered if I could trouble you for some advice please? I own a Marginated tortoise named Gherkin who is 2 years old now. I currently use Aspen bedding for his substrate but as I'm going to be putting him in a larger table I was thinking about using forest bark substrate made by Exo Terra. Can anyone recommend this as a substrate? Is it safe? If not, what would you suggest please?

Kind regards Marc

Get him off the aspen bedding as soon as possible. forest bark, orchid bark, and cypress mulch all are good substrates.

Give this a good read:
