No snow on Christmas...but it started snowing at midnight...I live close to a 2 lane 55 mph hiway...normally I can hear cars and trucks and the train...snow makes the land quiet100_1451.JPG
there's a layer of ice under about a foot of snow now...my driveway has enuf of an incline that even my excellent driving skills couldn't get the Squirrel out of the carport...lol...so instead of church I decided to play in the snow...I love the snow...but Mary Knobbins just isn't so sure...

so she takes the cowards way out and heads inside...so of course I had to throw snow balls at her...

I guess I had more fun than her...look at the view from my deck...

Beautiful! But not much fun if you really have to drive someplace, especially with ice under it.

It looks like a wet, heavy snow. The only way I could see that again is by riding to the top of the mountain on the Palm Springs Tram. Spectacular tram ride, if you like that sort of thing, which I sure do! I like anything that takes (I said 'takes', not 'makes') me high! ?

It looks really odd to me to see a tortoise out in the snow! The sight just confuses my brain. ??

Well today I set out for what I know could be an adrenaline fueled animal food run. If I can back the Squirrel out of the driveway, then make it up the hill outa the park, I will make it to town. Then if I make it home I will back into the carport with my back tires on the carpet, the I will get outa the driveway, but my car is all engine and no traction...
I would much rather drive a big truck pulling a 53' trailer on the ice and snow than drive this little Camaro on it...but gotta go...wish me luck100_1500.JPG

?.a trick I learned from a paraplegic was to put the vehicle in neutral when you want to stop or go around a corner or curve on ice. It will help stop you even if you're in a full slide down a hill.?
