Came in this evening to find Knobs laying in the substrate.I had recently made a huge mound of cypress mulch, which she dug into.

LOL If I can just figure out how to get them to hatch.I'm having trouble keeping the humidity up in the incubators.Water in the bottom, multiple containers of water inside the incubator, and moistening the vermiculite periodically. The highest consistant humidity I'm able to acheive is about 75%.Any ideas?

I put all of my red-foot eggs inside tupperware containers. I poke a couple of holes in the lid, wet down the vermiculite, and put it in the incubator. Humidity stays around 80-85% and sometimes more. My eggs seem to be thriving in those conditions. Try it out and see what happens.

Update. I just set up a new reptobator. I have a plasic shoebox with about 2-1/2 inches of moist vermiculite in it,holes in the sides, lid on top. It should hold about 25 eggs. I'll let it run and stabilize for a day or two,and if everthing is good,I'll transfer some eggs over to it.

I do what Matt does too. I use shoe box size containers with about 3" of damp vermiculite. I drill 2 quarter inch holes on each of the two long sides of the box and thats it. I put water in the channels in the bottom of my incubators and refill that once or twice in the three or four month incubation span. I usually don't even need to add any to the incubation media. This works for me here in the desert. I'm guessing you should have no trouble there.
