She came down okay. She goes up and down slowly and slides a little but she's determined so it works for me. Good luck on yours

She's so cute!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad it worked! I did the same thing with the popsicle sticks for gripping. My ramp is a little steep, but hopefully Ginger will be as determined as yours. I'm going to replace all of the dirt before I stick in the new shelf (I haven't cleaned the cage in a long time), but then I'll attach pics.

It's finished!!!! HOORAY!!!! She climbed up it without a problem... but I didn't actually get to see her go down. She sat up there forever, determining whether it was too high to go down or not. Then I left for two minutes and came back and she was back in her favorite corner. So hopefully she doesn't slide all the way down!! Here's pictures. She just got fresh coconut coir. Took four bricks and two hours. ;) newshelf! 005.JPG newshelf! 009.JPG newshelf! 007.JPG newshelf! 008.JPG

A Dremel type tool will pay for itself.
You'll end up finding all sorts of uses for one.
That one for $20 seems like a good deal. That brand name has been around for a while, too.
You'll love it.
Here is one I used my Dremel for that you will appreciate ! Bet you never left your key in your bike right ?
My design of course ! :D

After I did that I just never bothered to take it out !

Just a word of warning to anyone who used wood and popsicle sticks like I did... if you have moist substrate (like coco coir) it leads to moldy wood. :( I just had to trash the whole shelf because of fuzzy mold growing on it and inside of it. o_O

Ooo, glad I use dry. Only issue for me is if she pees up there, it'll soak through the substrate
