Mulch?

I’m building an outdoor tortoise enclosure for summer and wanted to see what everyone is using for mulch. The forest floor stuff at petco is pretty expensive for a large area. Is redwood mulch toxic? I haven’t been able to find cypress. Everything here seems to be cedar. I have very sandy soil.
Would this be ok?

Generally, it's advised not to use redwood. However, I don't think someone has tested it as outdoor tortoise bedding.

It seems, that many plant nurseries in CA sell GreenAll MicroBark (https://idiggreenacres.com/products/greenall-174-microbark) which is a good option. The price should be on par with redwood mulch.

Can you get eucalyptus mulch in CA? That would be a really good mulch to use. I used to get mine from the Bronx Zoo. Maybe San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal Park could recommend a supplier in CA.
