So I went searching yesterday for Orchid mulch, Cypress mulch, etc. No luck. Only thing I found even close was Gorilla hair. Is that okay to use?

2 or 3 2.0cu.ft. bags will do an enclosure that size.

Hardware stores usually don't have this. Did you look at garden centers and nurseries near you?

OSH typically stocks 1.0 cubic foot bags. Is there an OSH near you?

Yes, I checked a couple nurseries. They basically close after Oct.
I'm sorry, I do not know what OSH is?

Gorilla hair is made from redwood and cedar - cedar is not usually recommended

Shop online if your local garden stores or hardware stores don’t have fine orchid bark or coco coir

eg https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Z4UNJ2/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20
I looked at this and it said it was made up of these ingredients- are these okay for my tortoise?
  • Well blended combination of small fir bark, "Canadian" sphagnum, peat moss, perlite and screened pumice
  • Lime added to create a balanced pH

I wouldn't use anything with perlite in. Nasty white bits that torts find attractive and could be an impaction hazard. Likewise pumice, that's effectively going to be small rocks or sand.

thank you. can you suggest a brand I can order online that will work for my tortoise? I am having a very difficult time finding anything that doesn't have additives.

They don't post stuff to Morocco, so I use coco coir bought in Spain.
Sorry, don't know what's available online.

No. None of that is okay.
