It's funny, I was thinking about ambient sounds for Darwin the other day, and picked this playlist:

https://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWWSads6V2oIk?si=jj2ogyycQXeGPTWYmlR8Og

You'd want a drier climate playlist for your sulcata, but I may circle back and play this for Darwin on loop for a couple of days and see if it seems to affect him.

I've already got an Alexa speaker in the room, so it's pretty easy.

Thanks for the post/thread.

Jamie
I like it I’m trying it on them right now

I'm so glad someone else thought to play them some sounds. I've been experimenting and it seems like my tort is more active if I play some soft bird sounds. There are lots of birds in my yard so he hears it all summer. I'm gonna try those links you guys posted! Thx.

Turtles and tortoises don't have the same type of hearing that mammals do. Music probably sounds like so much rumbling to them. . . might even be offensive.

The links aren't to music, but natural sounds playlists ... rainforest for my redfoot, desert for the sulcata.

The owl, crickets, birds, wind and rain are nice. The desert Spotify clips are soothing, playing 30 second clips of each natural sound.
