Very nice! What kind of tortoise is this for?
Could you build him a tamp so he can get into that cool looking house?
Nice job!

It looks really nice. Do you have something under the dirt so he can't burrow out? Also, I would be a little concerned about the smaller fencing you have around the enclosure. They could scale that pretty easy.

Very big and nice. I really like the house, it is SWEET looking... My russian like hiding under his outdoor plants, so maybe some edible flowers could be nice for him! I do think he might climb that, they are experts :D

He cannot climb them we tested them they were to steep and he doesn't try to leave

So, he's got you fooled for now. He has you thinking he can't climb; when in actuality he's just waiting for some alone time before undergoing the transformation into "Houdini tort", able to climb walls 10 times his height and able to dig thru solid wood.

It looks like if he did get out there is a second fence to be dealt with. Nice looking set-up. Like the rest of us, you'll have to observe your tortoise and make adjustments to the enclosure as needed. I like the look of the whole thing.

I would use a terracotta dish instead of that ramp water dish. They can flip in it and drown.

It looks great. Although if I put my lot in there they would shimmy up the corner where the wall meets the fence.... They are unbelievably good at climbing!

My Russian has been out all summer and does not make any effort to leave the enclosure. I check on him frequently (like a mother hen) and know his favorite spots. He even seems to have a routine which also helps me keep a check on him. Your set up is very attractive. I spend a lot of time working in my yard and it was important to me to have an attractive tortoise run. Love the pet house. Did you make it?
