I got a Leopard Tortoise for Christmas.

How wonderful to welcome a new addition to my Turtle/Tortoise filled home.
The seller said "she" was 2 years old (but I doubt that very much!!!!!!)

She arrived today and has already been eating, wandering around and exploring her new home. So active.

Any ideas on sex? Or is it too early?

Awe, "SHE" is a cutie and has gorgeous shell markings!!

I love your signature "600+ turt/tort decorations throughout the house!".....that is hilarious! I love it! :D

I only have 2 things, a tiny plastic tortoise, and a statue we got at last night tortoise club meeting. The statue is actually my son's he stole it from someone durning the "take each others gift exchange".

Super cute! I'm guessing it is a female from the shape of the anal scutes.

I have to disagree. Because the anal scutes point outward, towards the back legs, I'm thinking "male." I agree on the age. 2 seems correct for that tortoise.

Nice leopard. I'm guessing female, but it really is too early to tell. She's within the "normal" size range for a two year old. I've seen bigger and smaller at that age.

I'm split right down the middle! My first thought was male, cuz the anal scutes are pointing outward, but the U-shaped notch in the center is indicating female...ask again in about 6 months;)

Congrats on the new Leo!

I would have to say though, even for a Babcocki 3.5" and 2 years still seems small to me.

I have a 19-20month old Leo who is almost 4 inches (might even be over that now). And a 10 month old who is over 3 inches.

Sounds more like a yearling to me.
