Hello and Welcome:) I like the enclosure. Just make sure you keep up the humidity. Should be 80% with temps no lower then 80. Some pyramiding has already started, from the breeders dry care, but you can help with that. Read Toms threads below in my post and tweak your enclosure to get the heat and humidity right and little Princess should grow nicely.

This is really cool, the only thing I would suggest is make sure that your humidity is never below 80% for the first year or two of her life.

Will she live outside full time?

i know, got her from a breeder who says its normal to have a little pyramiding. i just don't agree. he just uses newpaper and kept it on a dry enclosure

been giving her a daily 1hr soak. planted some bermuda grass for her to graze on and help up the humidity. i also keep the humidity high by mist spray the substrate and hide as often as i can. hope this help

Your tortoise is beautiful and your enclosure is great. With the high humidity and warm weather of your climate your tortoise will do great. It looks like a big outside area where you are keeping him so I am guessing you will have room to expand as he grows. Congratulations & welcome!

thanks, i'm currently designing a 10ft x 10ft outdoor enclosure for my brother's 12" sulcata. and if my princess gets to big i'll have her transfer there.

yesterday, i fed her some wansoy and she just took around 3 leaves, today i gave her kangkong but she did touch any. and i noticed that she just sleeps alot. is this normal or should i be concerned?

Hatchling's do sleep a lot but should be eating too. Can you offer your tortoise grasses and weeds along with the greens you are feeding? Your baby needs a varied diet. Also if you can tear everything up into tiny Pieces that would help to. Keep us posted!!

Make sure the water stays warm, maybe shorten the soaks to 20 minutes. If the tortoise cools off, they won't be as active or defecate.
Also, make sure the temps are warm enough in your enclosure. You may need to cover part of it with plexiglass which will help hold in warmth and humidity.
do you have a way to measure temps?
