Shelly’s previous light-heat schedule was 14 hours of light and heat during the day and 5 hours of UVB, but after a couple of months observing him he always goes to bed an hour or two before his light goes off. Soooo, I’ve now cut his light and heat down to 13 hours and his UVB down to 4 hours a day but here’s where my creativity comes into play.

Naturally, the sun rises and sets gradually and not all at once. So now I’ve set it up so that his LED light and CHE for ambient temps comes on 10 minutes after his basking lamp comes on in the morning (thus giving him a little bit of light and heat and then a lot of it instead of all at once.) and his LED and heat goes off/gets turned down 10 minutes before his basking lamp does in the evening again to give that gradual diminishing effect.
