My Pancake hates soaking!

So my pancake hatchling really hates taking a bath. When he wakes up and gets warmed up under the lamp, I usually have a very shallow dish of warm water waiting. When I place him in the water he tries to get out at light speed. I have never seen him drink either although I have caught him kind of licking the side of the enclosure when it has been misted. I mist the enclosure daily to raise humidity and I get him really wet. My question is about hygiene and hydration. Instead of soaking, is misting him several times a day good enough or should I keep trying to get him to take a bath?

My tortoise still hates the bath too. But I think you should keep giving the baths, they say moving around in the water can help bowel movements also. So just keep at it! Theyll forgive you in the end..

Agree with Ruchonnet. Just make sure its not very deep. My pancake and my marginated hatchling started off combative as well, but over time they seem to relax in their baths each morning. They poop about half of the time in the tub. When our pancake is ready to get out, he starts to climb aggressively, so we have found deeper bowls to bathe him in (as he is a great climber). Sometimes, we even catch him in his water dish bathing during the day now (which is near a heat lamp).

Do any torts like bathtime?
The first time I put my 2 pancakes in the bath, the one climbed on top of the other (I presume to get out of the water).
