I would just like to share my spider tort that I have got during last October. This guy is a 5 year old male that was hatched at a zoo in Florida. He did have some pyramiding when I received him but is definitely in great health. He eats on the daily basis and definitely loves his soaks more than my other torts. He is set on a thermostat, a high quality UVB bulb, an automatic mister, and his substrate is a mixture of oak leaves, cypress mulch, and also repti soil. I feed him a variety of leafy greens (arugula, dandelion, mustard, & collard) ZooMed flower topper, and also some veggies. He also eats the grass that is planted in the terrarium and Mazuri. He is not the most active tort but am thankful that I have him! I was thinking about possibly finding him a female once I have enough funds set aside but would definitely like to learn more about this species before hand.
