My russian Tortoises nails are getting really long, I've added rocks to her enclosure. But she refuses to walk on them.

Should I attempt to cut her nails? Or add more rocks? Or just wait?

I don't know what to do, but I need to get it figured out soon, cause I bet her nails are not the comfyest.

Is there anyway your current enclosure can handle a flat concrete paver step..not the big honking ones but the 12 x 12 inch size ones? If yes then maybe you sink one ore two of them strategically in the enclosure so she has to walk across them...I put the RFs here out on the front porch where they have no choice but to walk across the concrete which I have them do to keep their nails snugged up....and yes you can trim tortoise nails...but be sure you are comfortable doing it...go on youtube and type in tortoise nail trimming and watch it done..also have some quickstep at hand if this is new for you in the event you cut too short....:D
