Nails

So here is the best picture that shows her nails. Are they too long? She has a couple rocks in her pen but her nails look kind of long. She won't let me take a pic o her back legs lol she is a little grumpy today. ImageUploadedByTortoiseForum1365983164.547268.jpg

Yes, they are a touch long (to me :p). You can get some pieces of flat slate and lay those in the enclosure, kinda sunk down some into the substrate so that the shell won't rub too much but that the slate is in a choice spot(s) for walking so the nails will get worn down....


Oh by the way...adorable tort :D

Her beak and her nails are way too long you should take her to the vet so that they can teach you how to trim her beak.

Not going to attempt the nails, ill take her the vet for that one. I've seen the beak done before at a vet I interned under so I took a little off, she got so mad she bit the clippers lol ImageUploadedByTortoiseForum1366165668.737448.jpg
