Hello. my tortoise is about two years old and around 4-5 inches long. 3 inches wide. The cage he is currently in is getting to small for and I need ideas on building a bigger cage for him. Should I keep him outside in a bigger cage or is he too young? I want to get him into a bigger cage as soon as possible. He is currently staying in about a 30 gallon tank..

Take a look through the enclosures section. I think you'll get lots of new habitat ideas for your tortoise. If you live where the weather is good, and you can provide a safe habitat for your baby, then he's never too young to be put outside.

I would, like Yvonne said, house him outside if its warm and bring him in only at night or raining days and cold temps.
