Need help with heat

ive had my tortoise since August, I called it (I like to think it's a boy) Sheldon. I got him a tortoise table and I came with the uvb light and a heat light. The heat light has blew and I don't really know what one he needs. He's a Herman tortoise and not even a year old yet. Any recommendations on brands or can someone help me find a decent priced one? thanks. I keep him in my room and my heater is always on so the room is warm but I don't think that's enough as they like to bask

Hello and Welcome. A mercury vapor bulb is good for day heat, light and UVB. A ceramic heat emitter is good for a second heat source for the day and also for heat at night as it has no light. For the Mercury bulb, I like the power sun

I use 65 watt flood bulbs from the hardware store. Adjust the height of the fixture to get the correct basking temperature under it.

For UV, you can make a safe, secure outdoor sunning enclosure for fair weather.
